Israel’s wealthiest woman, Shari Arison is a businesswoman and philanthropist. She is the daughter of late American-Israeli businessman, Ted Arison who is the founder of Carnival Cruise Lines and Mina Arison Sapir. She was born on September 9, 1957, in New York City. She moved with her mother in Israel after her parents divorced, and she returned to the United States at the age of twelve to live with her father. She returned to Israel after five years so that she could get herself enlisted in the Israel Defense Forces. Until 2009, Shari served as the Chairman of the Arison Investment, Arison Group, and the Ted Arison Family Foundation. Shari has been married and divorced three times, and she has four children (two from the first marriage and one from the second marriage).

She has achieved the place of being the wealthiest woman in Israel. She also owns 16% in shares of the largest bank of Israel, Bank Hapoalim. She has a net worth of nearly $5.3 Billion. In 2012, she was ranked 64th in the most powerful women. She built a vast empire from her hard work after she inherited some of her father’s possessions after he died in 1999. Shari has been awarded as the most powerful woman In the Forbes Israel for two years in a row (2013 and 2014). She is the fourth wealthiest person in Israel and the 334th in the world. She has received many titles like being the richest woman in the Middle East, and in 2007, she was the only woman who was ranked in the top 20 richest people. In 1981, she founded the Ted Arison Family Foundation.

 Shari also started a day internationally that she called Good Deeds Day for doing good deeds on that particular day. There are many real estate and infrastructure projects that she has invested in and gained profit from them.
